Our Story

Two Brother. One Mission.

Young Hearts Healthcare Foundation was founded by Jai Popuri and Sahith Popuri, two high school brothers who believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. What began as volunteer work during hurricanes in Florida and visits to rural India grew into a shared purpose: improving access to healthcare for people who need it most.

Our mission is simple - to make quality healthcare accessible, compassionate, and sustainable for underserved communities.

Meet the Founders

Jai Popuri - Co-Founder & CEO
High School Senior | Medical Researcher | Community Health Advocate
“Growing up with a mom battling chronic illness taught me what healthcare feels like from the patient’s side especially the confusion, the fear, and the barriers to access.”
Background:
-
Cancer Research Intern, TGen (Phoenix)
-
Pharmacogenomics Research, Azyki Inc.
-
Medical Scribe: 100+ patient encounters
-
Creator of GeneRx, a precision medicine app
Jai has seen healthcare from the lab bench to the clinic and in rural villages where basic care is still out of reach. Young Hearts is his way of closing that gap now, not waiting until he earns a medical degree.

Sahith Popuri - Co-Founder & Operations Director
High School Sophomore | Logistics Coordinator | Problem Solver
“While Jai handles strategy and partnerships, I make sure everything actually works.”
Role & Focus:
-
Coordinate volunteers across continents
-
Manage supply procurement and logistics
-
Oversee transportation and distribution
-
Solve challenges in real time
Sahith believes that impact requires more than good intentions and it takes systems, organization, and accountability. That’s the foundation he brings to every Young Hearts initiative.

Our Values
Accessibility: Every service is free. No one is turned away.
Dignity: Every person is treated with respect, in their own language.
Transparency: Every dollar is tracked and reported.
Partnership: We work with communities, not for them.
